I've been out of the loop for awhile! Summer always is sooo busy! Who ever talked about the lazy days of summer must not have had any children! Haha! I'm very humbled to say that I have received some blog awards. I will be adding those to my blog. Thank you so much! All of you are so very kind! Stay tuned for my next posts. Enjoy each and everyday- for each is a gift from God.
This was such a fun box to make! The directions are from a Close To My Heart consultant and I am so sorry that I don't remember your name so please leave a comment and take credit for this fun project :0) Creative Memories had the perfect paper pack called Disney Vacation Power Palette kit (637602) We went there in 2007 so it was time for me to get some of the photos scrapped! My daughters and I had a great time looking through all of the pictures. I still have tons more to scrap, but at least I got a start! My husband, Les was even excited to check out my project when I was finished. Thanks honey!
It isn't to often that Emily will let me get her all dress up AND pose for the camera. She had just gotten her hair cut and even let me curl it. She is always such a cutie, but, today she is a princess!
As if paper crafting isn't enough- I have discovered the fabulous pasttime of knitting! My husband is so excited(haha). He simply asks when I'm going to finish our childrens scrapbook and I say finish? If I have my camera in hand and all the wonderful Close To My Heart goodies how can I ever really finish? He just doesn't seem to understand(sigh). But, I think once he is snuggled under a nice, warm knitted blanket he won't mind. That will be sometime in the distant future since it is 85 degrees out now! Gives me time to practice!
I just love the new Bella paper pack! I did up this cute little card for a Close To My Heart unit swap and it is perfect for this time of the year! I adapted a card sketch from the Originals Card Confidance Program(9032) This book is great if you have a mental block when it comes to creating a card. I used the level 2 paper pack Bella(X7114B) The sweet baby in the pot is stamped using Flower Child(D1248)and colored with watercolor pencils(3505) and then I used a blending pen(3174)to softed the colors. I also used the stamp set Treasures of the heart(C1271) on the front and inside. The flower is from the Just Blooms Big Pinks(Z1033) and a pewter bitty brad(Z199)to attach it.
